I've been up before 5 in order to make the train for my job downtown these past two days, and I work my retail job tomorrow and Saturday.
This spectacular view alone really does make working
downtown worth it.
My parents are going out of town this weekend, so I'm responsible for the kids and making sure they get where they need to be.
And if that isn't enough, I was offered an internship this past Monday that starts this coming Monday. Well, internship isn't exactly the right word. It's more like unpaid internship/camp counselor/medical school grand tour guide. Either way, I leave on Monday to spend two weeks there. Of course, there's a dress code (staff polos...), so I've been scrambling to make sure I have enough appropriate clothing.
Despite the slightly stressful clothing situation, I am SO excited for this amazing opportunity! First of all, staying at Northwestern University is going to be amazing. Second, free tours of the hospital, med school, and local practices? Count me in, even if I'll technically be working.
Maybe I'll rest in July?
